God Provides, Ruth 2:1–16
Ruth went to the field because she and Naomi needed food. There, through her work and the kindness of Boaz, God provided for the need before them. Ruth 2:1–16 invites us to recognize God’s grace in ordinary means, obey Him in uncertain circumstances, and trust that His purposes reach farther than we can see.
Where You Go, I Go, Ruth 1
Naomi returned to Bethlehem believing that suffering had left her empty, but God was already working through her loss to accomplish purposes she could not yet see. Ruth trusted the sovereignty of God and remained faithful even though she did not know what awaited her.
Faith does not require us to understand everything God is doing. It calls us to turn toward Him in suffering, obey His Word, and remain faithful because He is always faithful.
Seek First the Kingdom, Matthew 6:33
Jesus commands His people to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness. In a world filled with anxiety, earthly priorities, and kingdoms of our own making, Matthew 6:33 calls us to reorder our hearts under the rule of God.
This sermon considers how seeking the kingdom first redirects our attention, shapes our pursuit of righteousness, and teaches us to trust the Father’s provision.
