The Lord Never Fails, Ruth 4:13–22
Naomi once said she had returned to Bethlehem empty. At the end of Ruth, she holds Obed in her arms, and her neighbors bless the Lord. The final verses reveal that God’s work through this family reaches beyond their lifetime to David and, ultimately, to Jesus Christ. The Lord never fails to accomplish His purposes.
Redeemed, Ruth 4:1–12
Boaz did not merely express concern for Ruth and Naomi. He went to the city gate, accepted the cost, and settled their redemption before witnesses. His willing action points us to Jesus Christ, who has fully paid the price to redeem His people from sin.
A Servant’s Heart, Ruth 2:17–23
Ruth’s concern for Naomi became more than kind words. She worked, sacrificed, submitted, and carried home enough to meet another person’s needs. Her heart was made visible through what she did.
A servant’s heart puts others first and trusts God enough to obey without seeing the whole plan. Service may seem ordinary, but God uses faithful servants to make His grace visible and accomplish work of eternal significance.
