Naomi returned to Bethlehem believing that suffering had left her empty, but God was already working through her loss to accomplish purposes she could not yet see. Ruth trusted the sovereignty of God and remained faithful even though she did not know what awaited her.

Faith does not require us to understand everything God is doing. It calls us to turn toward Him in suffering, obey His Word, and remain faithful because He is always faithful.
