How can you know whether you are truly walking in the light? In 1 John 1:5–10, John gives two tests of genuine fellowship with God: true faith and true repentance. Those who know the Lord are transformed by His truth, share in fellowship with His people, and confess their sins.

God’s light exposes our sin, but it also reveals our hope. Through the blood of Jesus Christ, we can come before the Father with confidence that He is faithful and just to forgive and make us clean.
