Sovereign Through the Chaos (Psalm 3)

Psalm 3 was written by David while he was fleeing from Absalom, his son. David’s enemies had increased; many were rising against him, and many were saying there was no deliverance for him in God. The danger was real, the discouragement was deep, and the betrayal was personal.

This sermon considers David’s danger and discouragement, his peace in salvation, and his hope for tomorrow. David does not deny the reality of his enemies, but he turns his eyes to the Lord. The Lord is his shield, his glory, and the One who lifts his head.

Psalm 3 teaches that peace does not come from the absence of threats, but from the presence and power of God. Salvation belongs to the Lord, and His blessing rests upon His people.
